Most Bloggers have an Ego
Instead of helping others by giving tips and daily advice to their readers, they instead get trapped into thinking about traffic and gaining popularity. What you will find is most bloggers who are out there really are only blogging to make money, they are not blogging because it is what they love or are passionate about, whether they tell you they are doing it for the love, sure you can believe them, but really deep down they are in it for the money.
Comments on your blog?
When they be a regular contributor on your own blog? Deep down whether they admit it or not, they are contributing on your blog to get other readers and commentors to see them so they will also get visitors to their site and get comments on their own blog.
Do not get fooled into this trap!
If you are a blogger and have heard about other bloggers telling you that you need to comment on other blogs so you get more traffic, do not believe this. They are only saying this to get you to comment on their own blog, sure you can comment on blogs, but if they are not commenting back on yours, why bother. It is not fair exchange at all.
When other marketers want to buddy with you!
Be very cautious, there is usually an ulterior motive, they are doing this to gain themselves recognition, or visitors to their own site. I find a number of bloggers who are in the same level as me out there that will contact even friends or commentors of mine in order to get them to hype up their own sites.
Blogging is about community not about making enemies!
I see time after time bloggers who try and be friends with you and then turn their back when their readership goes up, that’s it, they don’t need you anymore.
Regular Stalking
This is half the reason I will be going through and deleting half my Facebook friends soon, as most of them are really not real friends just know about me in the industry and are probably just feeding off my ideas and success without saying hello or thank you, this will soon come to an end, as I am fed up with it!
SEO Revenge
In a way I am so glad I authored the ebook SEO Revenge because when you end up taking revenge believe me, it works! Don’t let these guys walk all over you, if they do not appreciate you being their mentor and show you some gratitude, you dominate them and show then who is better!
Let me know what you think about the subject, do you agree, most bloggers (not all bloggers) can be selfish at times? I would like to hear your thoughts on this subject!

Hi Daniel,
This is a really great post, I have always noticed that being a top blogger is an experience on a whole new level, they do not have time for their readers once they get to a certain point.
Again nice post, I will be surely coming back to read other posts of yours,
Jim
This is what I'm doing now Dan! Being a top blogger needs to start hard until you will get to the top. Thinking about myself without helping others will not make me succeed. You have a good choice out there, which we need to spread the word for others who are in need of something.
It's great to help you know, just like my few tutorials in my blog.

That's exactly right Jeff, you need to be thinking of others, I know you do exactly that! This is why I am also getting tired of commenting on other blogs regularly and getting no comments back in return. It is just not fair and is very self centered.
Hi Dan,
Great to see you. It's such a long time that I have not posted here. Anyway, it is important for us to know the real attitude of blogging. We should not treat others as enemies, but we should be friendly to other bloggers and visitors. This is a community of friendship guys, and we should not underestimate if the blog posts are very helpful and useful.
Thanks!

Exactly right Carina, Blogging is about creating friendships and community and giving, it must work both ways, not just be one sided!
Internet marketers like you should be aware and smart of dealing with other marketers and bloggers. It is useless when you gave them linkback, while they don't. It's unfair to me and to other bloggers like you Daniel. For me, if we think about ourselves it's just like we're alone in an island. We should be open to anyone by helping them through tutorials and tips that are related to affiliate and make money online.
Thank you for the wonderful post Daniel!

Hi Peter, yes this is true and again a point proven that blogging is about helping and being involved with others success and fulfill their dreams but with them appreciating it!
Hope to see you around again!
Dan,
Interesting post! I have found that some of my comments do drive traffic to my blog, although my real motivation is typically a genuine interest in the topic. I think a lot of people also comment to get a free back link via the top commentators list that many blogs have these days.
Best,
Ian

Hi Ian,
I think you are right, the deeper you dig into a story to read about, the deeper your comment will be and this leads to powerful engagement on both sides.
