Making Money Online With CJ.com

Tags:

I must say it takes a while before you start to see some money come through with CJ, but as the saying goes once it rains it pours! Between January to early February I have made a total of $235. It’s not a huge amount, but it’s something for one out of many affiliate programs I run with. The main thing is when you publish ads to make sure you target the ads with high commissions.

Be sure to to optimize the ads as well so that they come up in good position in the search engines, that way you will get maximum benefit. Do not put your eggs all in one basket. Be sure to use a variety of ads and stick and improve using ones that work well for you.

If starting out don’t be too hard on yourself, you need to really give yourself around 6 months and set up around 10 affiliate programs before you get the best one going. Once you start earning a few hundred a month from 10 or so programs that’s when a $3000+ a month commission income is possible.

What most people tend to forget is promoting your affiliate programs as much as possible. Do not just do 1 blog post about a product and just let it set there and hope for the best. Use smart Internet marketing tactics in order to drive sales as much as possible.

Learn and keep on learning and apply. Do not sit back and think too much, just do what you think will work once you have the understanding. I know of many internet marketers that put hours a day of study but are not making cause they give up or learn too much and get a brain overload. It’s very easy to make money online once you act!

Good Luck!

Broad Vs Niche Sites

Tags:

There is clearly a big diference in putting a site together for the long term or for the short term.

Alot of the big players that develop lets say a search engine or social networking site have a huge advertising budget because they know what they are getting into which involves huge competition, even if they are innitially playing with other less popular social networks lets give an example of Facebook vs say Friendster, hi 5 etc, there is still alot of marketing needed to prove to others that lets say Facebook is better.

When it comes to one man marketers or smaller agencies investing in smaller key area sites these days they have no option other then to focus on smaller niche sites.

The divide between the two areas are getting wider and wider, as the bigger companies like Google and Microsoft have so much power that they can buy their way into almost anything. The niche sites keep pounding away harder and harder as the only thing that is on their side is endless hours of time and effort to put into their work.

High risk, high return sites can be a lot more rewarding for the long term and can even end up as a public company on the stock market and making billions of dollars, where is the short term low risk sites gain thousands of dollars and is a lot more guaranteed.

This then leaves middle men sites like forum community sites, article sites, and sites that are related to webmaster, design, seo, travel which gain profits from affiliate programs, advertising and memberships.

Other sites that quietly make profits are the sites which are involved in porn and gambling. Other niche areas such as “buy today only” schemes and other quick sale sites are slowly weeding out.

Here you can see that the top 30 alexa list contains around 15 sites that are all related to the big competitive niches such as social networking, search engines, video etc.

Long Term High Risk High Return Sites:

  • Search Engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing, Baidu)
  • Social Networking (Facebook, Twitter, Myspace)
  • Blogging (Blogger.com, Wordpress)
  • Video Sites (Youtube)
  • EMail Sites (MSN)
  • Encyclopedia (Wikipedia)
  • Shopping (Amazon, Ebay)
  • File Sharing (RapidShare)

Short Term Low Risk Lower Return Sites:

  • Weight Loss
  • Stop Smoking
  • Hair Loss
  • Nokia Phones
  • iPhones
  • Wii (Nintendo)
  • PS2 (Playstation)
  • Religion
  • Politics
  • Soccer
  • Fashion
  • Auto

There is some odd successful sites and industries in between all this give and take. When Twitter became the talk of the town everyone started registering twitter domains and putting together  twitter background sites for example. Then developers started making money from facebook applications, they were and still are a great money maker. You can thrive off other popular sites success for some time also. The beauty about all this is there is always a way to make money online big or small.

Why Do We Need Affiliate Marketing?

Tags: , , , ,

The reason why we need affiliates is to earn huge amount of money for our own needs and wants. Affiliates are now considered as one of the huge making money portals in the internet. Since it was practiced in the late 90’s, affiliate marketing was truly developed with the likes of Clickbank, CJ.com and many other networks. Now you can see that there are many affiliate networks which exist throughout the world, and it’s still growing. We need affiliates because of money, and it’s one of the reasons that more millionaires have been created for just simply using affiliate marketing for their own website or blog. Not all of the make money online streams are easy, because everybody knows that everything starts from the bottom and to be successful you must work hard for it. It may take either months or years to build up your website or blog. There are different types of affiliate programs which you can count on, in order to earn money:

1. Pay-per-sale – this affiliate marketing option lets you earn while the user purchased a product on the ad you promoted to your own website or blog. Some programs that are implementing this program are Clickbank, Amazon, CJ, ShareASale, etc. You will gain percentage for every sale you generated in your account which you use your own affiliate link, together with your affiliate ID on the banner, widget or the link itself.

2. Cost-per-action (CPA) – this affiliate marketing option lets you earn while they sign up on a program either for free period, trial period or full period. This is one of the fastest making money schemes on affiliate marketing which the customer itself called as a lead. The lead must be valid from a unique IP address which they click on your ad and sign up for a program. Some of the programs used this method are the likes of NetPartner, ELeadMedia, T3Leads, PepperJam, Azoogle, etc.

3. Pay-per-download – this affiliate marketing option lets you earn while they download a file on any form in the ad they clicked on your website or blog. It means when a visitor clicks your ad on the website or blog and downloaded the file, you get paid. All you have to do is to attach your own banner, text link or contextual ad and let it roll on your website or blog. An example of a pay-per-download program is HotFile.

Now we have three types of affiliate marketing schemes mentioned above. If you would like to run your own affiliate program you can sign up as an advertiser or merchant (not publisher) with networks such as cj, clickbank, azoogle and many others. Or you can run your own affiliate program, I use and recommend iDevDirect, I use them for one of my sites GSEO.net/affiliate.

Now once you have set this up the only thing to do in order to run your website or blog all along is by using search engine optimization (SEO), that makes you build backlinks and earn lots of traffic from them. Without SEO, your site or blog will not run for long and you will not generate any sales from them, so in order to benefit the most we need powerful search engine optimization and online marketing traffic sources. Good Luck!

Interview With Professional Blogger Yaro Starak

Tags: , , ,

yaro-starak

It’s been a pleasure to be able do an interview with professional Blogger and Internet Marketer Yaro Starak. I put together useful questions in order to get useful answers that I hope everyone can learn and benefit from;

Daniel Lew: You have been able to successfully live the internet marketers dream earning a good living from automated income from a few hours of work each day. How long did it take you to get to the stage of being able to work from home, and how much longer after that did it take you to start earning a 6 figure income.

Yaro Starak: I’ve been running websites since 1999, and made my first significant
income stream in 2002 (about $500 a month from banner advertising on a
hobby site I built from scratch). Before that I was playing with eBay
and learning how the Internet worked. I started a proofreading
business in 2001, which eventually brought in enough to live off, so I
quit the part time job I had at the time (I’ve never had a full time
job). In 2004 I began blogging and within 12 months I was making about
$2,000 a month. Eventually I sold off the proofreading business and
focused 100% on blogging, and by 2007 I made over $100,000. I made
$250,000+ the year after and over half a million the year after that.

I suggest people plan to spend 12 months learning, followed by 12
months to get themselves up to a full time income and the next 12
months to reach six figures. That’s a realistic timeline anyone can
shoot for, though of course it can be done quicker or slower,
depending on what you do.

Daniel Lew: One of your most successful sites is http://www.entrepreneurs-journey.com/ how successful has this made you up until today and how much further would you like to take it?

Yaro Starak: Entrepreneurs-Journey.com is my main blog and the center point of my
business. At the moment I don’t have any plans to make any major
changes, all I have ever wanted to do is help people with my writing,
which is what I intend to keep doing at the blog. If I can help even
just one person reach financial freedom via the Internet, or make them
a better person in any way, then I’m happy.

Daniel Lew: What advice could you give anyone that is starting out as a blogger or affiliate marketer?

Yaro Starak: I suggest you do two things -

1. Find a hungry market who really want what you have to offer
2. Give them so much value that they come to respect and trust you

The key here is giving lots of free content, so when it comes to make
money, you have lots of attention and trust built up. Oh, and make
sure you build an email list too :-)

Daniel Lew: What forms of promotion have you done in the past to get your site maximum traffic?

Yaro Starak: My best forms of marketing so far have been the following -

1. Giving away an amazing free report from my blog that reveals a
detailed picture of how to do something from A-to-Z
2. Doing podcast interviews with well known and/or successful people
in my industry
3. Writing guest articles for other popular blogs

And as always, the best traffic technique you can ever use is to give
people lots of value for free. Powerful content is the key to maximum
traffic.

Daniel Lew: One of your latest products is Blog Mastermind. It seems like there is alot very good information there. Can you elaborate a bit more on this product and what made you decide to offer offer this learning secrets and product to others. (I would also like the affiliate referral link to this please)

Yaro Starak: Blog Mastermind is a very special course because it was created at a
special time in my life. I had just reached a major milestone,
generating at least $5,000 per month from my blog. I decided I wanted
to write down a step-by-step process while it was fresh in my mind
regarding what it takes to grow a blog to this point, so that’s what I
did within Blog Mastermind.

The course is made up of 27 weekly lessons, designed to be completed
over 6 months, although you can do it at your own pace, slower or
quicker if you prefer. I also interviewed 5 professional bloggers, did
live blog case study videos, and include lots of extra audios and
resources. The program also includes direct access to me via live
coaching calls held each month, so you can ask me for specific advice
regarding your blog.

You can find out more about the program here:

Adding Up To 1000 Followers A Day To Generate Revenue Using Twitter

Tags: ,

I have recently posted about Sponsored Tweets and Making Money online with Twitter. Just to go in a bit more depth I would like to show you some examples on earnings as a result of getting thousands of followers per day. I use a program called TweetAdder.

The 2 programs go hand in hand if you want to make money from your followers. TweetAdder allows you to add up to 1000 followers per day and targets specific niches, so for example if you want to follow people who are related to a certain industry you can do so in the search tab. What is also nice about targeting the niche when following is that you get a conversion rate of users who you follow that actually follow you back. So you can tell if that specific niche is worth following!

The great thing about it is you can unfollow in bulk as well and this unfollows users that have not followed you back. If you are following more people then what people are following you this can get you banned over time, so the idea is to have the majority of users following you.
twitter adder

You can see as a result of my popularity now from having thousands of followers, I have gained sponsors on my twitter page. Not only do I use Sponsored Tweets I also use Be-A-Magpie. Here are some earnings from the last few days:

beamagpie

Not huge but the earning potential is high. If I can gain more followers and as a result get more sponsors I could be making $100 a day just from tweets. So my goal is to be making around $50 a day from tweets by early next year and then atleast $100 a day by mid to late next year which I think is very possible.

For anyone who hasn’t heard about Shoemoney, he claims to have made $15,000 in 1 month from his twitter page. Having over 70,000 followers. Bluehost is one advertiser you can see he gets and which I also get, so lets hope they keep advertising with me. Im sure they will as long as they see a good ROI.

Using Squidoo Lens For Affiliate Marketing

Tags: , , ,

One of the reasons why affiliate marketers have been so successful in their business is through creating a unique website called Squidoo lens. This is a unique website that lets you build your own lens and also a social community site that you can make friends and to share your customized lens with each other, rate it and post a good comment about your lenses. You can create as many lens as you want, and there’s another thing which attracts and motivates Squidoo members. Squidoo will also pay you for using them or just doing anything like creating and updating Squidoo lenses, comment on other’s lenses. The minimum payment is $5.00 and they pay you through Paypal.

Squidoo has these kinds of features:

1. Google Adsense – this is one of the best revenue sharing programs through pay-per-click, and it can be attached on the leaderboard or at the sidereel.

2. Amazon – this is also one of the best affiliate programs which lets you earn through their clicks and made an order of the product. You will earn 4% to 6% commission per sale of others’ products you promote.

3. Clickbank – this is another popular affiliate programs in the world, and you will earn up to 75% commission of the products you promote and sell.

4. Youtube videos – if you have videos on Youtube that is suitable to the niche, then you can attach or embed your code here on your Squidoo lens page and you’re good to go!

5. Bookmark buttons and subscriptions – if you have social bookmarking sites like Digg, Technorati, Mixx, Propeller, StumbleUpon, etc., you can also put them here so that they can bookmark your site and subscribe as well. Twitter and Facebook can be considered here as buttons which you can “ReTweet” and “Connect” this lens of yours.

Your content is the main part for your Squidoo lens, and if you have third-party links that attach your keywords or keyphrases, it’s good and it will help you increase revenue and sales from third party links. Also, the important thing is you don’t consider yourself as a duplicate, because Squidoo is very strict of it and may consider you a spammer which prevents you from publishing it to the web.

Squidoo is a very potential program that gives you high quality traffic than regular blogs, only those whose contents are very unique and original as well. This is one place that affiliate marketers are so successful in promoting their products.
