Getting on Wikipedia

To be on Wikipedia is most entrepreneurs dream, for me this is bigger then anything on the internet. Because Wikipedia is such an authority site and a page rank of 9, it holds an enormous amount of strength with it comes to ranking well in the search engines.

Just 2 hours after I was up on Wikipedia my page appeared on the 1st page of Google for Daniel Lew that is how strong a page from Wikipedia is!

Wikipedia is like the dictionary bible of all bibles. What is listed in there stays in there and is very creditable when doing anything in life. Companies and people respect you more, particularly when they see you are really someone.

How can you get on Wikipedia?

To be listed in Wikipedia can take a few years, as usually over time you gain authority for your own self and when having a page you will need to have references from authority sites, this ensures Wikipedia that you are not just anyone. You are a real authority figure.

Can Wikipedia help your search engine rankings?

For people who know the SEO industry and know how powerful getting backlinks are to your site, a link from Wikipedia even if “nofollow” is more powerful then a link from a .edu site.

Oops! They have taken me off!

It was fun while it lasted…I was recently taken off Wikipedia because they claimed it was self promotional!

The Damn “Dan” Domain

Buying Domain Names can either be fun or be hurtful.

In my case I should be farely happy as I own around 100 domains, out of 100 domains around 40 4 letter domains I own aswell which are highly valuable.

One of my favourites would have to actually be a .net though out of all my 40 or so 4LLL.com’s. It is also an established website, let me introduce it to you GSEO.net stands for Google Search Engine Optimization.

But the one in which I recently tried to aquire was believe it or not from my own birth name Daniel Lew. Now when I went to register this domain guess what?

It was taken, Yes that’s right folks It wasn’t only just randomly registerd by someone for 1 year, It was registered for 10 flippen years, and the name is just sitting there?

Very Odd wouldn’t you agree? Becuase let me tell you there are not many daniel lew’s in this world let alone danny or dan lew let me be the first Dan Lew to have registered Danlew.com now that is got to hurt this guy back dont you think?

Or perhaps Danny Lew in which my old friends and family know me by, yep I quickly snapped that one up www.dannylew.com nobody is taking that baby away.

To be honest personally I like being called Dan or Daniel as it’s more humble and formal particularly when dealing with clients.

But let me get to the ever more interesting bit Daniel Lew is actually bought and owned from a Graphic Design Photography Company as you can see here:

Did this guy or company see myself around the Internet and think Hey? this guy is going to be a Success if he isn’t already from all his brilliant marketing techniques and yeah we better quickly buy this guys name as it appears it’s going to be a success a bit like BradPitt.com.

Or on the other hand I can see from his registrant details he is running a Creative Agency, So what does this mean that all Daniel Lew’s are the owner’s of Creative Agencies?
