A lot of webmasters and bloggers right now are thinking of their goals in the upcoming 2010. They always want to improve their SEO tactics for the upcoming months, and now the year 2009 has come to a close and another year will begin. 2010 should be a big year for SEO fanatics, only if they want to become successful at this point of time. What are the things we need to do in order to become successful at this point? Success is what we’re targeting here, and we have to do it as soon as possible. We don’t just wait for 2010 to come near with us, but today we can start plan for our SEO work in the upcoming year. Goals are always listed right on your notebook, and here are some of the examples that you want to list your SEO plans for 2010:
1. To get on the top of search rankings.
If you want this on the wishlist, it is more about keyword research. You have to know your SEO competitors and you must figure it out to outplay them.
2. To have more backlinks than the previous year.
If you want to include this on your wishlist, you have to double time your link building and SEO work daily. Make sure that all of the sites you are generating are do-follow. It could be forums, social bookmarks, social media, etc.
3. Improve your writing ability.
If you want to be accepted by the article and press release directories, you have to study the correct form of writing articles and press release. It also includes proper English grammar, which can be self-learned by you.
4. To increase page views and unique visitors than the previous year.
If you want this to be included in your wishlist, you have to step up building and promoting more links in do-follow and no-follow sites. Even though you are building links at no-follow mode, you can still gain traffic but not the link juice. Advertising is another option, you must prepare your budget for your website to be advertised in hundreds or thousands of hits.
5. Plan innovative ways to make customers satisfied.
You must formulate a new SEO plan for 2010, on how you want your customers satisfied with your website or blog. You can write it down, and to put it into action immediately. There are many ways like giving them freebies, review copies and free tips on anything you want to share to them. This keeps them coming back to your blog over and over again, and inviting friends to check it out and contribute some of their comments. They can even subscribe to your feed.
These are a few examples of mine, which we need to do SEO for 2010. It’s just like a New Year’s Resolution, which you want to change the way you are, and to change your lifestyle and relationship. The same thing goes to SEO, and we should apply it for our future success.

I should have listed my own for the upcoming 2010 SEO plans. I think this should be totally be big for most SEO fanatics, just like me. Thanks for sharing this wonderful post Daniel!
Cheers for you.:)

Good plans… I like how you focused just on SEO rather than plans for JUST your blog for 2010. I’ll probably rewrite my goals from last year once again for this year. But we’ll see…
