All website on the internet compete with each other to get their site on the first page of Google, Yahoo and Bing. Getting your site on the first page is not easy, and as a beginner it will take you months to a year of hard work in getting your site on top of search engine rankings in the internet.

The sites you get links from must be do-follow, so that you can provide your own link juice. You can determine it using Firefox’s NoDoFollow plugin or toolbar, which can be installed easily. You have to find do-follow forums, social bookmarks, blogs and other links. No-follow sites are also useful but they cannot help you in page rankings but only traffic.

You can also perform online marketing strategies by promoting your website into hundreds of social media sites like Facebook, Youtube and Twitter.  You just keep doing all of what is necessary until you get to the first page of Google, Yahoo and Bing.

After days months or years of hard work, your site could potentially rank first on the search results, depends on the keyword and keyphrase you used in the internet.
