Getting Bored Of Link Building?

Tags: ,

There is actually alot we don’t like doing when it comes to SEO or in particular link building. Sending out link exchange requests or submitting to directories in the hope to be approved is all a time consuming process.

To keep positive and not get bored easily it is important to have a very broad scope. If we can monitor our success rate and if we can see that we are making sales as a result then link building becomes more motivating.

I often try and break my day up by doing some article submissions, then social bookmarking and then the rest of my day with SEO. Then the next day I will do some 3 way link exchanges, press release submissions and then content blog link exchanges. Then the next day might do some social marketing link building. In total I spend around 2 hours a day on link building then the rest on SEO and web development.

The reason why a lot of companies outsource link building or SEO is it can become very monotonous. The only problem is when you outsource even you still don’t have the final touch which you can if your confident enough to do yourself. It takes a certain skill to be able to get the right links your looking for. As your experience gets better you will get fussier and fussier with this process.

Overall link building can be tiresome. On top of all the link building we always keep a frame of mind with dofollow links, and high page rank links, this keeps us fully satisfied when not only our links have been approved but we obtain quality links.

What are your thoughts, do you get bored when doing the same link building procedures each day?

It has been more then 2 years since I have been developing GSEO.net and officially launched the site in September 2009. The site has over 300 members and will steadily increase as the word gets out.

The whole purpose of GSEO.net is to connect SEO Consultants or Internet Marketers with Clients who are in need of advice giving the consultant opportunity to take the client on for any future services, along with giving SEO professionals a change to promote their services by posting blogs, videos of themself or company and news articles along with contributing in the forum and anything else that interests them.

As for the Client they can also upgrade to contact SEO consultants directly enabling them to save hours of hard work doing SEO them self, they can have answers at their fingertips. The concept is unique and seems to be working well already. We are also conducting SEO competitions along with prizes and cash giveaways.

Another very nice feature is the affiliate program allowing other website owners to gain commissions on referrals they send to the GSEO.net community.

So whether you are a client seeking advice or services or an seo professional / internet marketing guru or even newbie get started and join today and benefit from the community!

Once you register, we recommend you to upgrade here while we are still a low monthly fee at only $19.95 per month. Happy SEO in 2010

Tags: ,

Happy New Year everyone, and even happier for those who have been involved with SEO for some time. Obviously change is one of the hardest things to work with particularly when one is very set in their ways, but change is good and only for the strong minded. Now has come the time, for many years since 2003 Google had set a patent based on link popularity.

This algorithm structure is based on back links and calculates links, the good from the bad, the popular from the less popular, the authority links from the less authority and weighs up the links from high page rank vs low page rank sites and pages.

For 2010 all this is changing

It has been told recently Google have based their new algorithm on a social platform. For me personally change is good, I get bored easily and concentrating on back linking becomes tiresome and monotonous. Although this will not be totally eradicated there will still be some chance to progress and spend time on other areas. The other areas include:

  • Personalized Search Changes
  • Real Time Search
  • Growth of Android and Personalized Mobile Search
  • Social Search
  • Bing Growing into legitimate option 2

The recent patent is an interesting one as recently summarized. It shows that alot of attention will be focused towards Google Phone, or mobile in general and bookmarking and personalization along with user data information.

This actually tells us that social media is going to play a big role and that Twitter and other Social platform will also be contributing in the data that is shared and will carry weight accordingly.

Those SEO people who are already against social platforms have no option but to turn to this game. It is really a do or die situation. I believe SEO is already changing towards an overall internet marketing platform. To do and adapt in all the ways of marketing on the internet enables you to receive the highest search engine results.

To be successful particularly in 2010 you will need to stay ahead of the game. Working off old SEO ways will be half of the work and sooner or later fade out alltogether. So start getting social, mobile, in the media and above all user friendly becuase this is the way of the future folks!

Best of luck and success for 2010!

How To Make SEO Better For Your Business?

Tags: ,

There is always a need for a certain type of understanding before moving ahead with any type of SEO strategy. The first is understanding what the problems with the site are, and the second is knowing what can or cannot be done to fix them.

When putting together your options for moving forward, understanding these facts will help you sort out which options are viable and which are not. Moving forward without being fully aware of all the facts leads to poor decisions based off of an incomplete or poorly thought about set of options.

Think about the consequences of each action. As an SEO they must be fully aware that every change to a site could have potentially negative consequences. One example is changing url structure to be more seo friendly url’s.  Granted most strategies have been proven to produce a positive impact on web-sites, but this isn’t true 100% of the time. Some changes will have a positive long-term impact but have a severely negative short-term effect.

Seven of the hardest thing to do in SEO is to manage expectations properly. An SEO selling their services will often promise miracles to get the sale but then tell the client not to expect miracles at all. SEO is seldom a magic solution and sometimes what they think will be an easy job turns out to be anything but. It’s like peeling back the layers of an onions. You get seven problem solved and that uncovers several more problems.

Make sure your expectations don’t exceed your potential and your resources. As they say, time is money. Time is your most limited and valuable resource. Don’t waste it. SEO isn’t difficult but it does need knowledge. Most of that knowledge is available for free, but that doesn’t take in to consideration the cost of your time to learn it, implement it and then to ensure each strategy is performing effectively.

Every small business owner has this dilemma. How much should they do themselves versus how much can they afford to hire somebody to do for them. When it comes to SEO, the business owner must pick how much of their own time can be dedicated to doing the detailed work, or if their time is better spent elsewhere, like walking the business.

The first is that you may be wrong. Shocker! Whether you’re wrong about implementing this strategy over that strategy, or choosing seven path over another, you must be content with knowing that at some point or another you’ll make a bad decision. Nobody is 100% perfect 100% of the time. Some SEO strategies are implemented based on past performance from other sites, but there is no guarantee that the same strategy will work for this site. Be prepared to be wrong. Permit yourself a 10% risk of being wrong, a 50% likelihood of something going wrong, and a 100% commitment to survive it all.

4 Aggressive Strategies For SEO and Link Building

Tags: ,

Using one-way link building for SEO is the most important factor for getting highly ranked page results. Google for example gives page results based on the popularity of a link, the page rank of a link, the authority of the link and the relevant pages linking to your site.

Tip #1 (Popularity)

What your website really wants is a consistent amount of natural links that is gained over a period of time. This ensures your site is growing consistently and proving to be popular. More to the point, you need to gain links from other popular sites including high alexa ranked sites. Just go to alexa.com and view the top sites that you can join and contribute on. Some maybe yahoo answers, Wikipedia or any site that can drive some branding to your site.

Tip #2 (Page Rank)

The quality of your PR in those sites you are linking with must appear natural to various search engines. You must choose and link websites carefully with high PR preferably 6,7,8 & 9+. You need also to seek more links from a good range of websites with both high and low PR values for the links to appear natural.

Tip #3 (Authority)

Gaining links from .gov .edu sites are all natural methods that happen over time. Other methods of authority are local community sites and charity organizations. You also want to have blog reviews and forum posters naturally saying that your site is great and posting links to your site in social communities. Articles and press releases are also a great way to gain authority.

Tip #4 (Relevancy)

80% of sites that link to you should be relevant and should be from relevant content pages. You want to continually seek partnerships especially when starting out. Gaining a backlink from a directory for example from a relevant category pointing to your site is a proven relevant link. This is just 1 example of many relevant links you should be looking at gaining.
