Being A Bad Reader Makes You A Bad Blogger

Tags: ,

It’s the same way you apply listening, when you are a good listener it makes you a good learner, therefore with learning you can then take this and do something with it. Without learning you have nothing, instead you have a one way ticket to fail. I see so many bloggers that don’t like to read or they just blog about what they think is right, they do not get any ideas or read other blogs properly to get ideas, instead they go on a tangent and this is why after a while they give up. They are not clearly picking up and learning along the way.Learn & Lead

To be a successful blogger you need to be open minded and spend many hours researching, learning, reading, watching videos on how the experts are doing things. I will give you an example with SEO as a niche. The problem is even with top SEO professionals, they apply certain techniques and stick with this and do not research and apply new strategies, Google’s algorithm changes all the time, of course they are big on link building, content and keyword density but there are still small elements around this that they need to keep up to date with on programs to use and the list goes on. Instead they get to set in their comfort zone and get lazy in continually researching the newest trends etc.

So are you one of those that think you know everything?

Again I touched base with this before, this comes down to ego, do not let this get in the way, be sure to find a balance between being open and being closed. I know that everyday when I read, there is always something new that I find and apply. I challenge you to tell me, that after reading 10 of the top sites latest news on any given niche that you are involved in, that you did not pick up something that you did not know! I challenge you! Day after day!

So what do you do?

It is called bookmarking, if you do not have time to read, you can set it aside for when you do have time. Most people push things that don’t interest them or say they don’t have time for and leave it till the very last, everyone has time to make money, but the funny thing is, when they have the information there as a TOOL to make money they neglect it and neglect it. Why? Because they are the ones that think reading is boring, but yet they are bloggers, so people who come to their site will pick up on this and get the same feeling that they are just bloggers with no insight.

Be creative, think outside the box!

A true blogger will be someone that thinks outside the box, not in a rush to just post every day just for the sake of posting. You will usually pick up on certain posts that are discussed and feelings that come from the heart, this is a true blogger, but again a blogger that has also researched on what else is out there and applying them to their own readership.

I would be happy to know your thoughts, let me know what you think and what you as a blogger have experienced on both reading and applying?

Why Most Bloggers Only Think About Themselves

Tags: ,

Most Bloggers have an Ego

Instead of helping others by giving tips and daily advice to their readers, they instead get trapped into thinking about traffic and gaining popularity. What you will find is most bloggers who are out there really are only blogging to make money, they are not blogging because it is what they love or are passionate about, whether they tell you they are doing it for the love, sure you can believe them, but really deep down they are in it for the money.selfish

Comments on your blog?

When they be a regular contributor on your own blog? Deep down whether they admit it or not, they are contributing on your blog to get other readers and commentors to see them so they will also get visitors to their site and get comments on their own blog.

Do not get fooled into this trap!

If you are a blogger and have heard about other bloggers telling you that you need to comment on other blogs so you get more traffic, do not believe this. They are only saying this to get you to comment on their own blog, sure you can comment on blogs, but if they are not commenting back on yours, why bother. It is not fair exchange at all.

When other marketers want to buddy with you!

Be very cautious, there is usually an ulterior motive, they are doing this to gain themselves recognition, or visitors to their own site. I find a number of bloggers who are in the same level as me out there that will contact even friends or commentors of mine in order to get them to hype up their own sites.

Blogging is about community not about making enemies!

I see time after time bloggers who try and be friends with you and then turn their back when their readership goes up, that’s it, they don’t need you anymore.

Regular Stalking

This is half the reason I will be going through and deleting half my Facebook friends soon, as most of them are really not real friends just know about me in the industry and are probably just feeding off my ideas and success without saying hello or thank you, this will soon come to an end, as I am fed up with it!

SEO Revenge

In a way I am so glad I authored the ebook SEO Revenge because when you end up taking revenge believe me, it works! Don’t let these guys walk all over you, if they do not appreciate you being their mentor and show you some gratitude, you dominate them and show then who is better!

Let me know what you think about the subject, do you agree, most bloggers (not all bloggers) can be selfish at times?  I would like to hear your thoughts on this subject!

The top online money making systems for 2010

This year there has been an overwhelming amount of make money systems and very powerful programs, so because we are nearly already at the end of the year (yes I know this year has gone past quickly), I thought what better way to give everyone some highlight of what I found to be the best money making programs out there.

You will find that most of these systems revolve around SEO, Affiliate Marketing, Internet Advertising, Social Marketing and Blogging.

Here is a list in no particular order of what I found to be the best so far this year:

1. Carbon Copy Pro

Mainly for beginners, this formula which was recently presented by John Chow giving Michael Force the opportunity to discuss the system. The system shows you the very fundamentals in getting your internet business career started.

2. Blogging To The Bank

Although this system is very good, I recommend this mainly to more advanced internet users. Really it’s a system that combines all of your niche blogs into one very powerful automated blogging platform that generates big cash.

Even advanced internet marketers will gain a lot from their system.

4. Clickbank Wealth Formula

This system has loads of modules mainly informative slideshows and lots of talking so sit back and make sure you have quite a lot of time spare, it is really for beginners to intermediate, but there are quite a few tricks and tips that advanced internet marketers can gain as well.

Why 99% Of Bloggers Will Fail

Tags: ,

What makes a committed blogger?

Blogging is about being committed, about writing regularly, not about putting one post /article up and let your site site there for days, weeks and years. The best way to describe blogging is like having your own personal diary for whatever niche you are in. So just like a diary, it is there to be filled out, to be up to date with life, and for those who wish to have a public diary to share with the world about your feelings and desires, then blogging may be a great interest to you and so then you make it a duty, not just a hobby.

But how does one make money from being a blogger?

Well this is when you post discreetly and have affiliate links in your posts or even better recommendations of products that you get commissions from each time you post about it from affiliate sites. There are many full time bloggers, who make lots of money from blogging, I’m talking hundreds and thousands of dollars per year. When someone clicks a link from your site and goes to buy from another site, you get commission usually up to 75% if with high paying affiliate networks such as Clickbank. I have mentioned before that I make $2000 a month from blogging just 30 mins per day, not bad, if I was to do it full time I’m sure I would make a lot more.

How do you get a blog up and running?

You chase him and he starts running.. (That was just a joke) No seriously, you can easily get a blog up by following some simple steps as I have outlined here.

But why is it true that most bloggers will fail?

Well the truth is, most people who decide to get into blogging do it for the wrong reasons, usually to make some part time income, which of course is great, but you should never get into it purely for that reason, because a majority of the time, if you are posting just for the sake of self promotion then you will fail. First and foremost you must decide a niche and then stick to that niche.

You might have an interest in Classic wooden surfboards, so you post about your surfing experiences with your board everyday or week when you go surfing, some days you can post about some interesting experiences along the way, like perhaps a walk along the beach, and a sand castle you thought was great, so you take a photo of this and post it on your blog, then you might post a Billabong surfboard competition that is coming up or that you recently watched. And then you might post about some surf gear ($$) Or surfing books you have read ($$).blogging to the bank

The additional luxuries that come with being a blogger, is you can do it from anywhere in the world and even from home, as long as you have internet connection you can blog. But most of all as great as all that seems, newbies who think they will get into blogging, get up their blog, perhaps post regularly, then one day, stop, that’s it. Their blog is dead, they lost the community of visitors they once had, and lose motivation. Another thing is bloggers should never aim to high with earning online, start at a low reasonable figure and work your way up, this way you will not disappoint yourself.

Rome was not built in a day, it takes months and years of dedication just like anything in life and you need to grow your blogging business the same way. like I said earlier, treat it as a duty not a hobby and you will succeed. Just like you have to brush your teeth, and have a shower, you should make commitment to blog, then it will be easy to fit into your daily schedule, the most important thing is once you decide to start, never give up.

Once you get the hang of things you can then get more advanced and set up multiple automated blog sites for multiple income streams, but i suggest you learn the passionate and normal way of blogging first.

Good Luck!

Zubin Kutar Professional SEO Blogger Interview

Tags: , ,

I have recently had the opportunity to do an interview on Zubin Kutar founder of WebtrafficROI, who is very well known in the blogger world and was voted top internet marketer and blogger in 2009.

I hope that by doing this interview my readers will gain some insight in the industry and perhaps get a few tips along the way.

(DL) Could you share with my readers your background, where you were brought up and how long you have been involved with affiliate marketing and SEO and how long it has been since you have been running your own personal blog.

(ZK) I grew up in India where I did my education and them moved to Canada, I presently live in Toronto, Canada.

I’ve been involved with the internet and SEO since 2000. I was working with a start up travel portal at that time. I started the blog in 2008 to sharing my experiences and knowledge on internet marketing. I got involved in affiliate marketing once I started the blog. Since then blogging has been a passion, today the blog broadly covers all the topics related to Internet Marketing and Making Money Online.

(DL)  They call you the top commentator in the blogosphere, what would you say that is the best part about commenting, and what motivates you to be a top commentator?

(KT) Ahh, I did not know I had a name in the blogosphere :) , I started commenting as an experiment to see if I could get any traffic to my blog as I did not know of any other way that you get targeted visitors at zero cost. The biggest cost involved in commenting is your time. The traffic that you get on the blog by commenting is as valuable as the traffic that comes from search engines and through paid ads.

(DL) I see you are very fortunate enough to be living in Canada and not too far from John Chow, furthermore I see you have been networking at affiliate events with Pros such as Shoemoney, can you tell me about your experiences and what you have picked up from being involved with these guys.

(ZK)  I have been blessed to be living in a beautiful country, if I would have not been here I would have not had a blog. I happened to read about John Chow in Entrepreneur, a magazine I picked up from the public library. I was amazed when I read that he was making $40,000 from a blog. I started following his blog and then had a chance to meet him in Toronto, he has been a good friend ever since. I was also fortunate to meet Yaro in Toronto last year. These guys are just amazing, its a different experience talking to them and being around them. They are full of positive vibes. I hope some of it has rubbed off on me :)

(DL) You always seem to be up to date with what is going on in the affiliate community and therefore seem as though you never run out of ideas to blog about on a daily basis, what kind of tips could you recommend for other bloggers or affiliate marketers out there that struggle in finding fresh topics to post about daily?

(ZK) As a blogger you need to be updated on the latest trends, topics and the strategies that work online , else you wont be able to write and educate you audience about it. I can only recommend you to read a lot of books, blogs and sites related to your niche, it will help you get lots of ideas for your blog.

(DL)  I see you have a huge fan group in Facebook, how have you achieved getting such a high amount of fans? Have they become fans naturally from your blog, or have you been using social marketing techniques to gather fans from other sources?

(ZK) I am surprised at that too, Ive never done any activity to increase my fans , in fact its been only 2 month since I added the FB widget..I sent out a newsletter to my email base when I added the widget, I am yet to write a blog post telling user to join my fan page.

(DL)  What would be the best advice you would give to any new blogger getting started, or someone that has some experience but has not yet achieved their personal goals. Are there any useful tips you could suggest to get them more motivated and ramp up their sales?

(ZK) Money is a by product of any entrepreneurial venture, it will follow. Have a bit of fun with your venture. Dream, Build a Dream and Sell the dream.

(DL) I see you are very passionate about SEO along with affiliate marketing of course. What are some examples of real traffic building you have accomplished in the past for your own site? Have you done any successful campaigns that are worth mentioning through forms of internet marketing?

(ZK)  I spend a lot of time on building traffic through search engines, that drives majority of my visits. I recommend users to work hard on quality building links for your blog posts. Once you write a post market it across your network and across search engines to drive traffic.

(DL) How long has it taken you to make a good income, and would you mind sharing how much roughly you make from blogging and how much time each day you spend on blogging and how far would you like to take it in order to be totally satisfied?

(ZK) I made my first dollar from the blog after almost six months of blogging, if you are willing to wait for 6 – 8 months of continuous blogging and marketing yourself then consider it. I spend about 4 -5 hours a day blogging and marketing my blog.

(DL) Would you be willing enough to share with my readers your most memorable moment both online or offline and related to affiliate marketing or SEO?
(ZK) The moment is yet to come when I cross a five figure income from the blog each month.

Note: As you can see from this interview being a top blogger is possible if you follow your dreams and are passionate about what you post. Zubin is a good role model for those who wish to have someone to look up to.

Other Interviews I have done in the past are:
Interview With Professional Blogger: Yaro Starak
Interview with Copywriter / Internet Marketing Guru: Gavriel Shaw

The Ultimate SEO WordPress Plugin

I have been looking around for a while at SEO plugins for WordPress blogs and I must say SEOPressor is one of the best I have ever seen. The thing about it is every post you make in WordPress it enables you to make the keywords within your post more relevant and suggests and adds automatically for you keywords to enhance the performance. It gives you a score, and suggests what to do to make the score higher!

The best thing about SEOPressor is you don’t have to do anything, it does it all for you, it highlights and make text bold where it needs to, gives alt tags in text and images where it needs to and the list goes on.
