I have definitely been considering buying a BOTW directory listing. I do feel it is a bit expensive (especially since people don't really use them, and most webmasters are really just hoping for link juice).
However, it does seem to give your site some credibility and it will probably help just a tad in the serps. So it is probably worth it for anyone wanting to build a large and/or quality site.

Being listed in BOTW will not get you many clicks from the directory itself but it will certainly get your website ranked better in the search engines from having a quality backlink!
Nice site thanks. Has anyone got any conclusive proof if a link from BOTW does actually help with SERPs?

You just have to know that BOTW are one of the strongest directories in the world, they have 391,000 backlinks, 1,480 backlinks from .edu sites and 846 .gov links, just 1 link from them will shoot you up in the search engines no worries!
I also noticed you are from the UK, when you submit to them if you add that you are from UK, you will get a bonus link in the UK version!
Thanks for the discount code. I always liked BOTW and know it is one of the few directories that Google likes. ODP – DMOZ is good for Google, but it is a broken down directory. Yes it is a good directory and I noticed they raised their price from last year or so.
