Finally the iPad is out in US, but unfortunately for us Aussies it is told that it won’t be out in Australia until the end of May.
There is of course so many wow factors that make the iPad one of the highlights in computer history, so I decided to list them as follows;
Weight & Size
It is just under a kilo at only 680 grams this computer makes it one of the very few light weight travel computers around with a nice 9.7 inches.
Screen
Apple has not gone for an OLED screen as some rumors led us to believe but instead opted for an LED-back lit screen, which has 1,024 x 768 resolution and is super bright.
Interface Effortless
Auto-rotation, seamless sub-menus, intuitive gestures, multitouch… the iPhone’s interface is hands down the best among phones – the iPad’s looks the best among tablets.
iBooks
An afterthought to some, but if there is long-term space between the phone and laptop form factors, it’s for a device that’s a tablet AND an e-Reader combined. Enter the iPad.
Apps
No-one does apps like Apple, and the iPad supports all 140,000 existing App Store apps right out of the box, with most likely to be redesigned for the larger screen size before too long too.
Storage
The three storage options – 16GB. 32GB and 64GB – are both flexible and generous for such a lightweight product, and more importantly create several price point options.
iPhone OS
Two of the reasons the iPhone is so loved – its interface and all those apps – are actually both about the excellent iPhone OS, and Apple has seen sense by adapting it for the iPad rather than going the OS X route.
Battery
Apple intends for you to be using the iPad a lot, so that 10-hour battery life is pretty impressive, not to mention the full month on standby – if you can bear to leave it alone for that long.
What do you think? Will you be buying into this latest piece of Apple tech? Let us know below…
9. Screen queen
Apple has not gone for an OLED screen as some rumours led us to believe but instead opted for an LED-backlit screen, which has 1,024 x 768 resolution and is superbright.

No multitasking. Perhaps the biggest disappointment: no streaming media apps while punching out a document in Pages.

Really no multitasking? It's the big mistake of Apple. This day is the multitasking era.
All the features described are good and very useful but I feel there are many things to be improved one is from Ajay and the second comes here:
No camera, which means no video conferencing. No quick shots for blog posting. No videos.

Yes, that is the weakness. But as we know, there is no perfect hardware. I hope Apple will add camera in their next iPad edition.
I'm always looking for iPad because i need it to read my manga scan collections. I can bring it to anywhere i want
