10. Offer a SSL certificate program something similar to Verisign for shopping or ecommerce sites that show buyers that your site is secure, by getting verified users to place this button on their site will gain in huge back link exposure.

    Dan i never heard about these ways. Yes a few are common but the other needs very advance skills. For a normal or Newbie user it is difficult to get links using these ways.
